After several years in the marketing landscape, I have developed a genuine passion for writing, my interest in this stems from the website you’re currently on.

This website is an ongoing passion where I review upcoming and newly released fiction books. I’ve gained opportunities to interview best-selling authors through my online presence including the likes of Becky Albertalli (author of Simon Vs…, adapted into the film Love, Simon). It also serves as a portfolio for my photography, which is a keen hobby of mine.

Play Read Repeat is a joint-blogging project where the focus is primarily on gaming and associated books. The primary way in which I engage with my audience for this is through Instagram but there are many plans to increase blog posts. This website will also serve as a place to post reviews on manga and anime.

Managed all social media marketing, creating and managing campaigns and offers to help increase sales and traffic to the company’s website. These campaigns were through Facebook and Instagram, whilst also being supplemented by blog post creation where possible. In addition, I was also tasked with the photography of new and existing products to use within social media campaigns along with updates to the main website. For incoming products, I researched the items due in to start planning product descriptions alongside social media campaigns for these.

Working within the writing team, my role involved the creation of written marketing materials through liaising with clients to help sell their businesses. The documents were written and designed predominantly within Adobe InDesign, and I created a range of templates for my team whilst working here, quickly becoming the first choice for training new starters on the software. Working with high-value clients within a diverse range of sectors allowed me to develop my skills as a writer and establish a broad knowledge base.

Interests
I have a keen interest in travel, both to see historic sites and experience new cultures, which links to my love of photography as I enjoy following up with blog posts after my travels. I am also a keen reader of books which I love to review on my website, which ties into my love for writing not only blog posts but working on fictional stories. Additionally, I am eager to learn new skills and hence I regularly try new crafts.
