The third TEENSgate Blogger Event I attended was on August 12th, and it was another super fun event this time themed around This Mortal Coil. I’d read quite a lot of the book prior to the event, but I finished it a couple of days later and well, I loved it. The whole concept around it was purely brilliant and you can read my full review here.
There was another book swap at the event… and I bought two after the event (Catwoman: Soulstealer by Sarah J. Maas in paperback and Phantom by Leo Hunt – as Lauren told me it’s a little like X-Men). I also picked up two ARCs – Into the Jungle by Katherine Rundell and The Doll Factory by Elizabeth Macneal. And Kimi also put up a little swag corner full of goodies like a Caraval poster which is now firmly white-tacked onto my wall!
The event had us all talking about This Mortal Coil through really fun competitions based around questions – where we would hide in an apocalypse and what we’d change about ourselves if we could hack our genes.
Super big thank you to Kimi for putting together yet another great book event, I’d say I’m looking forward to the next but I guess I’m actually looking forward to the next next one now as on the 9th September I attended another TEENSgate event, for A Sky Painted Gold. So stay tuned for an upcoming blog post about that! (I’ll be quicker this time too – and I have an interview with the lovely Laura Wood to post with it!)
