First up, apologies because I don’t think I’ve done an unboxing post since September last year (things got a bit crazy for me for a while) but hey, I’m back with an unboxing of one of my favourite boxes I’ve ever got!
This month’s box included items inspired by Six of Crows, Throne of Glass, Vicious, the Grishaverse and the main book, as well as a super useful OwlCrate item! Honestly it was just plain awesome.
Read on to see the full contents.
The Book
This month’s book was Wicked Saints by Emily A. Duncan, and the copy is seriously beautiful! The cover isn’t that much different to the original, more of a colour change. But I’m more than okay with that because, well, just look at it!
Synopsis
An instant New York Times bestseller!
A girl who can speak to gods must save her people without destroying herself.
A prince in danger must decide who to trust.
A boy with a monstrous secret waits in the wings.
Together, they must assassinate the king and stop the war.
In a centuries-long war where beauty and brutality meet, their three paths entwine in a shadowy world of spilled blood and mysterious saints, where a forbidden romance threatens to tip the scales between dark and light. Wicked Saints is the thrilling start to Emily A. Duncan’s devastatingly Gothic Something Dark and Holy trilogy..
Wicked Saints Merchandise
For a few months now OwlCrate has been including a collectible enamel pin based off the month’s book, something which I’m a massive fan of because of my pin addiction! This month’s was designed by Hey Atlas Creative. We also received an exclusive fabric book map, it’s kind of silky and I love it!
Socks
As soon as the collectors edition of Six of Crows was announced I preordered it since it was so beautiful, so naturally I really like these socks inspired by that edition. These are from Out of Print.
Yes I do still need to read SoC and the Grisha trilogy and I will soon, I hope.
Notebook
Manon is one of my all-time favourites so I love this hardcover notebook! The design by Stella Bookish Art is gorgeous and it’s so well made too. Throne of Glass inspired, if you didn’t know.
Pin Banner
I love this OwlCrate pin banner designed by Michelle Gray! As mentioned previously, I love how OwlCrate does monthly pins now so this is perfect for displaying them!
Phone Holder
I’ve had my eye on a phone holder for a while so naturally I jumped at the chance to attach this Vicious-inspired one designed by Hey Atlas Creative to my phone! And okay, so it totally clashes. But I kind of like that! I’m already loving how useful it is.
Scarf
Okay so this scarf… is just damn beautiful. It’s inspired by the Grishaverse and designed by Bookmark’d Tattoos — it’s also in my favourite colour and you’re likely to see me wearing it a lot this Summer!
Finale Sampler
The fact I still have like two and a half weeks until Finale is out is killing me. I’ve actually ordered the OwlCrate box for it alongside the Waterstones signed edition, but the wait… Linked to the scarf, my OwlCrate Wicked King box came with another scarf designed by Bookmark’d Tattoos so I’m really hoping there will be another in the Finale box!
Overall
As always OwlCrate blew me away with this month’s box, and I think it’s probably my favourite yet! Very excited to read the book but I love how I’ll absolutely get use out of everything.
Next Month – Epic Adventures 💚
From OwlCrate themselves:
‘It’s time to pack your bags and head off on the road less traveled…our May box is all about exciting journeys!
Our book pick is a very highly anticipated fantasy debut full of dark magic, scorching deserts, forests filled with dangerous shadows, and a group of unlikely allies. It features lush storytelling and a world inspired by ancient Arabia.
We’ll be including a gorgeous OwlCrate exclusive edition which will be signed by the author!
You’ll also find fun and useful items inspired by stories such as Stardust (by Neil Gaiman), Howl’s Moving Castle, A Court of Mist and Fury, A Darker Shade of Magic, and The Hobbit!‘
Okay so I was seriously hoping that one of my three book boxes would have this book for May, and I’m super glad it happened! I love the majority of other fandoms included too, the only one I don’t actually know a thing about is Howl’s Moving Castle but I know OwlCrate will include amazing items regardless!
