The second Paper Orange box was another great month! I actually liked this box even more than April’s, though I’m biased due to it being a fantasy book I was really hoping to get a finished copy of!
The items are literally perfect also, I’m so excited to see future boxes after this one.
Check out all the items below!
The Full Box
Well, as you can see this month’s box was full of awesome items, again! For a quick little overview we have:
- Rebel Skies by Ann Sei Lin (wrapped up above in that adorable orange packaging) with a signed bookplate inside (I have a review up for this fab UKYA book!)
- Kurara (main Rebel Skies) character card, drawn by Ann Sei Lin herself! (This was definitely a stand-out, adorable item to me, there’s a close up below)
- Matching Rebel Skies bookmark
- Author letter*
- Author Recommendations letter*
- Wax melt, by UK small business Cushty Co
- Dragon pin, by UK small business Glitter Punk
- Japan pin, by UK small business Hand Over Your Fairy Cakes (more on these UK small business items below!)
- Sticker and playlist for The Girl With No Soul by Morgan Owen
- Postcard for Ellie Pillai is Brown by Christine Pillainayagam
- Signed bookmark and two more bookmarks for the Book of Fire trilogy by Michelle Kenney
- Postcard for The Balloon Thief by Aneesa Marufu (this is one I’ve been meaning to pick up!)
- May’s releases leaflet*
- Ready Or Not by Tracy Darnton postcard
- Signed Dead Lucky by Andreina Cordani postcard
- ADORABLE origami paper crane, very in keeping with this month’s book!*
*Think the box looks packed based off my photos? Well, I actually forgot to put the items marked with asterisks in, they were elsewhere for research purposes (we can call book buying research, right?)
UK Small Business Items
Okay so first off, the wax melt smells amazing. It’s one of those scents you’re terrified to use because you know you’ll need to replace it with more (though thankfully, I can do that!)
The pins. I spoke last time about loving pins and these two are ones I’d actually have bought myself if I spotted them prior to the box! I adore the Japan one, having Mount Fuji and cherry blossoms on makes it an absolute favourite! And then the dragon pin…?! Serious Daughter of the Moon Goddess vibes, I love it so so much! (And I’ve actually bought a pin from Glitter Punk in the past too, so I guess that really does show I’ll happily buy from them!)
Overall
First things first, very glad I was right about my guess for this month’s book! Hoping I’m also right with my guess for June’s book… because if it’s what I’m thinking then it’s one I’ve struggled not to buy already! I still adore the added signed items, and being both a pin and book lover I think this is excellent value for money too.
