What kind of hidden designs do you love to find on hardcovers? ✨

From the second that the designs for The Ballad of Never After were announced I knew I absolutely needed the dragon (of course, it’s a huge weakness for me with books) and I was so so happy when my @goldsborobooks copy arrived with the hidden dragon! 🥹

In general though, I absolutely adore how intricate these designs are on the whole. It just makes the book all that more special 💖

(It’s also really cool when the hardcover has any kind of design though, it’s always such a lovely surprise!)

I really can’t wait for A Curse for True Love because I’m planning on binge reading this one and that when it’s out! I miss Jacks 💙

I don’t have much to say today, tomorrow will be difficult and I’m not prepared for it but I wanted to post a photo of one of the duologies I really love 💕

Will never get over how gorgeous these covers are too 🥹

Also, this is an old photo and now most of our bookcases are white! I’m ✨still✨moving across books as much as I can, and I have a Book of Tea display that will have all of my copies in eventually 🥹 (I just have to root through some 20+ boxes and find the rest of my editions!) 💖

I was gifted this copy of The Foxglove King by Hannah Whitten last week, thank you @gambit589 and @orbitbooks_uk because it looks so good, both in terms of the stunning cover and the synopsis!

Hey all! I’m a little late with my post for this (house issues had to take priority) but I’m part of the tour for World Running Down by Al Hess and I really enjoyed this so posting my review now! ☺️

First, thank you so much to @angryrobotbooks for the review copy here, when the publicist reached it out to me it was due to how much I enjoyed Legends & Lattes, and I think that’s an excellent comparison when it comes to drama mixed with adorable queer love! 💙

#WorldRunningDown is set in a post-apocalyptic world and one of our main characters, Valentine, is a transgender man trying his hardest to gain citizenship in a place where he can get gender-affirming surgery so that his body can finally reflect who he is.

Osric, our other main character, is a sentient AI who has been placed in an android body against his wishes. He doesn’t think he wants his body, wishing to rejoin the network instead, but there’s a spark between him and Valentine that neither are able to ignore.

World Running Down deals with some complex issues, especially relating to body dysmorphia and consent, but at the heart of the story is Valentine and Osric’s blossoming relationship, and a whole host of meeting people who turn out to be different than they expected.

Accidentally didn’t post for a couple of days because I’ve been super busy with house things 😮‍💨 exhausted but it’s coming together fabulously 🥰 and I’m learning how to do a lot of DIY, albeit badly in some cases 😂

I picked up this book from @thebrokennbinding last year because I was brainwashed into it by good reviews 😂 still really excited to read it even though I haven’t had time yet; have you read it?
