QOTD: What’s a recently released sequel you’re excited to read soon? 💕 Hey loves! I’m back after an unplanned hiatus because apparently this year is going to be a little bit of a rollercoaster of emotions. But I’m super thankful to @orbitbooks_uk @gambit589 for these two lovely looking books I received recently!! I’m currently reading Tideborn by Eliza Chan (sequel to Fathomfolk! 🥰) and really enjoying it, whilst I’m grateful to Orbit for both copies here including The Ashfire King by Chelsea Abdullah, sequel to The Stardust Thief! I loved The Stardust Thief because of the found family aspect, so I’m excited to dive back into that world, and the other book here is A Song of Legends Lost by MH Ayinde which also sounds fabulous!! QOTD: Have you ever fallen in love with a book but had to leave it behind in the bookstore? 🥲 I found these STUNNING Italian editions of Judy I. Lin’s Book of Tea duology whilst I was in Rome last week. We only went with carry on so after taking them around the store I eventually had to concede to the fact I had no chance of getting them back to the UK 🥲 But I’m so glad I could see them in person! Italian editions are insanely beautiful, and I saw a couple of others like Our Infinite Fates and When the Moon Hatched! QOTD: Something simple! What are you currently reading, watching or listening to these days? 💕 Probably the fanciest reel I’ll ever have on here but I’m currently reading this book, Long Live Evil by Sarah Rees Brennan, whenever I get chance to pick it up whilst in Rome! So I took a quick little video of it whilst at the Trevi Fountain today 🥹 I know we’re following the villain in the story… but I can’t help but adore her and the rest of her budding villain found family! 🦊 Nine Tailed by Jayci Lee 🦊 QOTD: Can you recommend any urban fantasy books you’ve loved? If not let me know your current read/watch/fave song 💕 Here today to talk about this urban romantasy I read recently and really enjoyed! I actually have a screenshot from the cover reveal for this book (20th Feb 2024!) and I’d been super looking forward to it because I love stories around nine tailed foxes 🥹 This book didn’t disappoint me, we even start out in one of my favourite cities on earth (Las Vegas 🫶🏻) and straight from the start our main character, Sunny, is full of sass and I adored her from the get-go, the more I learned about her though the more I just wanted to give her a big hug. We’re quickly introduced to Ethan, who is a rather attractive-sounding and kind young gentleman, but there seems to be more to him than meets the eye… Sunny is the titular gumiho and she’s basically been in hiding, but when someone previously close to her is murdered then she ends up deep back into her old world and life, heading back to Korea for answers and to try stop a monster who’s returned. Along the way we also get a lovely dose of found family, and overall this was just a super fun (often emotional) read and I’m really excited to see where the story goes next! How’s everyone doing? 💕 I kept meaning to post recently but I went away for a little bit to London to see Ateez and then I’ve kind of been under the weather since, but starting to feel better and I want to talk about pretty books again so hi! It’s my current read and I’m loving all of the beautiful references to Indian mythology 💫 Meneka is such a fiesty main character too!! And her energy with Kaushika 🥹 I’m taking this away with me next week and excited to binge read it on my long train trips! 🫶🏻 And if you like the sound of the synopsis, you can go pick up a finished copy right now!
