What was the last book you read that had ghosts in it? 👻✨

My last ghostly read was The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston, and it’s another story by Ashley that I absolutely adored 🥹

Much like Ashley’s Once Upon a Con YA series, there were a few little nerdy references spreaded throughout which I really loved, but what stood out the most was all of the emotion packed into this story.

Florence and Ben’s relationship was adorable to watch grow, and the juxtaposition of that alongside Florence’s grief and mentions of her horrid past relationship meant that this story really didn’t hold back at all.

If you’re looking for a read to make you feel all warm and fuzzy this winter then I’d most definitely recommend this one! Fairyloot will be releasing a special edition of it next month too and I’ll be grabbing it as soon as my email comes in! 🧡

I’m trying to shiny hunt on the game as much as I can, so far I’ve caught a shiny Tarountula and… LECHONK! 🥹 Lechonk is definitely my fave and cutest 🥰

Bookish talk though! First pic shows some of my fave coloured edges, will forever love blue and purple books! 💙💜

I definitely have a weakness for the lighter edges in this photo too, pastel + fave colour is perfect 😌

Reading wise, I’ve been reading The Red Scholar’s Wake and it’s so good! Looking forward to sharing my review as part of the blog tour at the end of the month 💕

What’s a book you’d like to read before the end of the year? ✨

Hands down one I’d love to read ASAP is Silver Under Nightfall by Rin Chupeco, a vampire book that both sounds and looks awesome! Check out that naked spine 😍🗡️❤️

This is my GSFF edition hence the very pretty red edges! Looks like they still have stock available too if you were planning on getting a copy 🥰

🩸 Synopsis 🩸

His mother was a subject of gossip even before she eloped with a vampire, giving rise to rumours that Remy is a half-vampire himself. When a terrifying new breed of vampire is sighted outside of the city, Remy prepares to investigate alone. As the Rot continues to spread across the kingdom, Remy must decide where his loyalties lie: with his father and the kingdom he’s spent his life defending, or the vampires who might just be the death of him.

What’s something you’re looking forward to in the next week? ✨

Today’s post is highlighting my favourite #hodderscape 2022 releases I’ve read so far, because on Tuesday I’ll be attending the Hodderscape Winter Ball and I’m just so so excited for it! 🥺💖

I’m taking grlwiththebooks after winning tickets on here for the event, and I’m definitely looking forward to our little adventure down to London (5-hour coach ride heading down, worth it! 😌)

I loved all of these books, and I’m so glad to have so many as special editions (we definitely need SEs of Castles in Their Bones though as well, pretty please)! 💖

There are a few 2022 Hodder releases that probably would be on this if I’d had chance to read them already, including:
✨ A Cruel and Fated Light by Ashley Shuttleworth (I adored ADAHS, but saving ACAFL for when I get some time off)
✨ Foul Lady Fortune by Chloe Gong, I’ve started reading These Violent Delights and love it so far 😍

And if I used my brain when taking this photo, I definitely would have included Belladonna by Adalyn Grace too because the banter in that was awesome! 💖

What’s a book that made you feel emotional when you read it… and after?

The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by axieoh is still one of my fave releases that I can’t help but think about every once in a while. The Ghibli vibes and all of the little tales within book were just so adorable and I miss Mina so much! 🥺💖

Big shout out to bookish.reader.elle for being the bestest and helping me get the califlair preorder pin!! It’s so cute, I love the design of Mina 🥹 anddd as soon as I realised the pin from obsidianmooncrate was being sold on their website I had to grab that, naturally! I’ve put them with a magpie pin I bought from divinepasserine Etsy around the time of reading it, I love how they all look together! 🥹 (but I still need more TGWFBTS pins please… I did buy a gorgeous one from fictopia.id but Royal Mail lost my package 😭)
